Honey Hot Chocolate/Honey Hot Cocoa

PictureSeabee Honey Hot Cocoa
This is a very straightforward recipe that everyone loves.  Replacing the sugar in the cocoa mix is easy and kids will not pick up on the switch from sugar.

Ingredients:
2 cups of whole milk
2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder
1 Pinch of Salt
3 Tablespoons of local honey (room temp)

Process:

On a stovetop mix the milk with the cocoa powder and mix well.  Add a pinch of salt and heat but do not boil the mixture.  As the mixture cools add the honey and whisk the solution.  We wait until the temperature is under 110 F to add the honey so that the drink retains the beneficial qualities of the raw honey.  Add a topping or serve as is.

Make 2 cups of hot cocoa.
